Today we're mourning the loss of this Monterrey Cypress at Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla. The nearly 100-year-old tree fell down late last week. The cypress is said to be the inspiration for the Dr. Seuss book The Lorax. pic.twitter.com/TtnI0IqXze
